The leafy green grower workshops planned for the coming PCA Greenworks conference includes contributions by commercial growers, industry experts and suppliers. The biennial national conference will be held at the Jupiters Gold Coast Convention Centre from 5-8 June.
Mike Lines (Holla Fresh) will focus on the Mobile Gully System (MGS); Rick Donnan will present on hydroponic solution management for leafy greens; Len Tesoriero (NSW DPI) will visit disease management in water-based hydroponic systems; and Tony Bundock (Powerplants) will give an explanation on LED lighting from a grower’s perspective.
Leafy green growers will also hear about grower experiences with NFT leafy greens and Integrated Management Practices by G. Grant and J. Erasmus (Wardell Hydroponics), which includes seeing it action with a farm tour scheduled for Wednesday 8 July.
The concurrent leafy green workshops include a panel session.
Specialty workshops will take place on Tuesday 7 June and cover fruit and vegetable vine crops, aquaponics, berries, leafy greens and cut flowers. Ω
