The Victorian Hydroponic Farmers Federation (HFF) will convene a one-day grower meeting, to be held in the Seminar Room at GOTAFE/NCDEA, Gilbert Chandler Campus, 3 Research Close, Werribee, Victoria, on Wednesday 16 October 2013.
The HFF is open to all hydroponic farmers Australia wide. Its membership of over 100 includes grower members from Victoria and interstate, as well as industry members (businesses offering support to growers), supporter members and affiliate members. The HFF grew from a small self-help group to the large association it is today through a commitment to furthering the hydroponic industry through growers supporting each other.
The meeting includes a workshop on greenhouse enterprise use and energy assessment, to be presented by Jeremy Badgery Parker, the principal of South Australian-based Primary Principles Pty Ltd, an innovative, independent agricultural, horticultural and rural development consultancy. The business fosters a SULT Approach – Solutions through Understanding, Learning and Technology.
The program also includes a session on Human Resource Management at Boomaroo Nursery, covering topics such as recruiting, performance management, skills and training development and recording, daily labour management, etc. This will be followed by an industry update by Graeme Smith from Graeme Smith Consultancy.
The grower meeting is free to HFF members and $30 for non-members (GST inclusive). To register, contact: John Elford
