The 12th biennial Protected Cropping Australia Conference will be held at the Sebel Albert Park, Melbourne, from 28-31 July 2013. This is the premier event for the Australian commercial hydroponic and greenhouse industry, plus a segment on aquaponics.
The conference will follow the normal format of a trade exhibition on the Sunday, presentations and workshops on Monday and Tuesday, followed by optional farm tours on Wednesday. The program will include presentations by international experts, broadened by growers sharing their practical experiences. There will also be forums for each of the industry segments, including flowers, fruit and vegetables, herbs, lettuce and Asian greens, plus aquaponics, so growers can discuss their mutual interests and concerns.
For the first, time there is an opportunity for anyone to make a submission to present a paper at this conference. The organisers require an abstract of about 200 words. For more information contact the conference organisers.
A highlight for sponsors at the conference will be the trade exhibition, which will be open to the grower public on the Sunday afternoon, and all day Monday and Tuesday for delegates. This is a great opportunity for exposure to the industry, and sponsorship brochures are available from the conference organisers.
