Learning through sharing

Moraitis Hydroponic Tomatoes, in conjunction with DEEDI Queensland and the Hydroponic Farmers Federation (HFF), are proud to host a special day at Moraitis’s growing, propagating and packing facility located at Tatura, Victoria. Owing to a conference of plant specialists in Melbourne, Moraitis have been able to gather a distinguished group of plant virologists and pathologist at Moraitis’s Tatura Farm for Monday 15 November 2010. This is a rare opportunity to meet, talk with and listen to some of the frontline plant science personnel in Australia as well as view the Moraitis facility.

Plant specialist will include Dr John Thomas, Denis Persley, Dr Andrew Geering, Mrs Visnja Steele, Len Tesoriero, Dr Cherie Gambley and Sharon Van Brunschot. Between them they have  over 150 years’ experience in diseases of fruit, vegetables and pasture crops, with special interest in tomato, capsicum, lettuce and cucurbits disease identification, vector transmission and control.

This is a great opportunity for growers to learn from some of the best in Australia, as well as catch up with fellow HFF members. The meeting is free for HFF members and $30 for non-members.
