Aspiring ag’ studies students only have two weeks left to apply for Agsafe’s $5000 educational bursary competition.
Agsafe and its programs Accreditation & Training, drumMUSTER and ChemClear will offer $2500 to two people looking to further their careers in agronomy, agribusiness, farming, quality management, best practice and financial management or other related agricultural fields.
The bursaries are open to everyone. The money can go towards either vocational or tertiary level studies.
Entrants are required to fill out the online application form and submit a short essay on how Agsafe and its programs benefit the farming industry and wider community.
The two best entries will be selected and awarded the education funding.
The competition will close on 20 December 2013 COB. Winners will be announced in January next year.
Agsafe General Manager Martin Shafron said the response for the bursary has been enormous so far.
“We’ve already received a huge amount of applications for the bursary,” he said. “But we’re encouraging anyone else to apply for a chance to gain some funding to support their careers in agriculture.”
“We know that one of the best ways of boosting Australian agriculture is through education, and providing this bursary will help by taking off some of the financial burden from ag’ students .”
