Following on from the highly successful inaugural event last year, TropAg 2017 will again be held in Brisbane on 20–22 November 2017. This international conference offers the opportunity to network and learn from colleagues and other leading international scientific voices from across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe and the United States who are actively engaged in advancing research and raising awareness of the many challenges in the diverse field of tropical and sub-tropical agriculture and food production. The scientific program will again feature a mix of keynote speakers, invited symposia, oral presentations and poster displays, along with exhibits from many industry partners.
TropAg 2015 attracted nearly 500 delegates with over 300 papers presented. View photos from TropAg 2015 here. View TropAg 2015 abstracts and program. TropAg 2017 will be even bigger with larger facilities secured at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, providing the opportunity to feature a greater number of oral presentations across all the disciplines of science contributing to tropical agriculture and food production.
Why Brisbane? Brisbane is the capital of Queensland, a state spanning tropical and sub-tropical climates, and Australia’s leader in tropical agriculture. It is a vibrant, friendly, lifestyle city – home to leading scientific research and a thriving industry hub. It is also in the heart of Australia’s premier tourist region and close to some of the world’s greatest natural attractions. Why not combine your conference attendance with a holiday and refresh in World Heritage listed rainforests, laze on sun-drenched beaches, explore the untouched charm of country towns, head south to the Gold Coast or north to the Sunshine Coast, cuddle a koala or hand feed dolphins in the wild – all within an hour’s reach of downtown Brisbane.
More information, as it becomes available, will be updated on the conference website. Ω
