Vegetables overstocked in Australian markets

In the lead-up to Christmas, Australian wholesale markets are overstocked with locally grown produce and this has led to significantly lower costs for consumers. The Veginsights quarterly report  highlights that vegetable prices are currently 18 per cent lower than they were at the same time last year. The largest reductions in cost over the past 12 months can be seen in capsicums, beans, sweet corn, zucchini, cauliflower and tomatoes.  Ω
