The 6th China (Beijing) International Modern Agricultural Exhibition (CIMAE 2015) will be held at the National Agriculture Exhibition Center (CNAEC), Beijing, China, from 19-21 April 2015. The event is expected to attract over 30,000 visitors and showcase 428 exhibits from 10 countries – USA, Japan, Germany, Israel, Canada, Korea, Russia, Belarus, Norway and Austria.
China’s agricultural modernisation has been accelerating since 2010, supported by fiscal subsidies provided by the Chinese government for agriculture-related technology and equipment. The subsidies have grown from a modest $3.5 billion in 2004, to $200 billion in 2013.
Since its foundation in 2010, the Beijing International Modern Agricultural Exhibition has become a professional, specialised and international event, and a must-attend trade show for the development of a modern agriculture industry in China. Visitors will include government representatives, equipment suppliers and dealers, agriculture and horticulture consultants, and financial and investment representatives.
The exhibition area (15,000 square metres) will showcase water conservation and irrigation equipment, seeds and seedlings, fertilisers and crop protection products, agricultural machinery, greenhouses and renewable energy technology, among many agricultural and horticulture exhibits.
Event organisers include the China Ministry of Agriculture, Trade Development & Cooperation Centre of China, China Green Food Centre, China Agricultural Water Conservation and Rural Water Supply Machinery Association, China Agriculture University and the Land Reclamation Bureau of Heilongjiang Province.
The CIMAE is promoted as Asia’s top Agricultural Show. The event integrates an exhibition with presentations, academic discussion, product promotion and project investigations. With the Chinese urban population now greater than the rural population, the 2015 event includes a high-level forum on urban agriculture.
The CIMAE website (in Mandarin and English) includes: program, schedule, pre-registration, venue, traffic and hotel information, as well as an invitation letter for visa applications.
