GreenTech Amsterdam 2016

GreenTech_webGreenTech is the global meeting place for professionals involved in horticulture technology. During three days filled with inspiration and innovation, this event provides the perfect platform to network, exchange ideas and do business. GreenTech will be held from 14-16 June 2016 in Amsterdam RAI.

With four connecting show themes—Crops, Water, Energy and Biobased—and a unique focus on the early stages of the horticultural chain and production issues relevant to growers, GreenTech is an important event for all professionals in the global horticulture and floriculture industry.

GreenTech Amsterdam 2016 will launch the Crops Theatre, an 80-seat session theatre with a full focus on crops’ optimisation. In close cooperation with eight market leaders and innovators, this event will offer growers state-of-the-art tools, products and solutions to optimise their crop. Next to these innovations, the knowledge program in the theatre is aimed at offering practical solutions to optimise any crop under any condition and circumstance.

Growers are faced with new challenges and opportunities every day. From feeding an expanding global population while meeting strict new emissions requirements, to producing more food on fewer acres while minimising their environmental footprint. On top of that, circumstances differ greatly around the world. Different regions, different mean climates, different soils, different scarcity of production input, and so on.

The Crops Theatre is supported by eight internationally renowned partners.

“We are very proud these recognised market leaders and innovators have signed up as partner for the Crops Theatre,” says Mariska Dreschler, Domain Manager of GreenTech.

“Their knowledge and expertise will ensure the Crops Theatre is a must stop for every grower. Together we will ensure the session program is of the highest interest covering every day challenges faced by growers”.

The Crops Theatre is situated within close proximity to machinery exhibits as well as seed and other suppliers in the new Hall 8 that is added to the GreenTech Show floor to allow for a significant expansion.

In 2014, an international audience of 8,153 decision makers visited the show in Amsterdam, which included 298 exhibitors from 23 countries showcasing their latest innovations, products, services, and solutions. Organisers anticipate a 25% increase in exhibitors and some 10,000 visitors worldwide at GreenTech Amsterdam 2016.
