Introduction to Commercial Greenhouse Crop Production

This is the second course to be presented by Powerplants Australia on an ‘Introduction to Commercial Greenhouse Crop Production’, to be held from Wednesday 28 October to Friday 30 October. The course is designed for industry participants who wish to gain a better understanding of the theoretical and practical issues associated with commercial greenhouse crop production.

The course will focus on:

  • Systems used within commercial crop production
  • Hygiene protocols
  • Computerised climate management
  • Water treatment
  • Systems for controlling greenhouse environment
  • Irrigation Management
  • Heating and Ventilation control principles
  • Tomato Crop Growing
  • Plant Nutrition
  • Crop Registration & Plant Balance
  • Pest and Disease Control
  • Greenhouse Crop Protection Principles
  • Hygiene protocols
  • Labour registration and tracking
  • Advice at distance – working with consultants.

The first day of training will be held at Powerplants Australia, 27 Technology Circuit, Hallam, Vic 3803. The second and third day of training will be held at Chisholm  Institute of TAFE, 2 New Holland Drive, Cranbourne , Vic 3977. The cost of the course is A$1300 plus GST per person.
