Mark your calendar for Australia’s premier industry event. The national biennial conference of Protected Cropping Australia (PCA), previously well known as the Australian Hydroponic and Greenhouse Conference, will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 3-6 July 2011. The conference venue is situated near the city’s main railway station and close to a variety of facilities and accommodation with over 300 restaurants and cafes within 1 kilometre of the convention centre.
The conference will begin with the trade exhibition opening on Sunday afternoon. In the evening there will be a welcome function, following the annual general meeting of PCA. The official opening on Monday morning will be followed by plenary sessions. Delegates will have the choice of a wide range of concurrent lectures and workshops that will run through to Tuesday. The conference dinner has been brought forward to Monday evening to enable those growers who need to get away early, to leave on Tuesday afternoon without missing the traditional banquet and awards ceremony. As with previous conferences, the event will end with an optional day of farm visits on Wednesday. This includes high-tech farms as well as state-of-the-art research facilities.
One of the major benefits of conferences is the opportunity to network with other growers, industry experts and equipment and service suppliers, with plenty of opportunities built into the program to network.
