Greenhouse and hydroponic growers and industry stakeholders are invited to a Protected Cropping Workshop to be held at Kemps Creek Bowling Club (Sydney region) from 12 noon to 3:00 pm on Friday 21 October 2011.
Workshop speakers are Alison Anderson and Frances Tolson (NSW Farmers), who will update attendees on the Vegetable Industry Development project. This will be followed by Jeremy Badgery-Parker (NSW DPI), who will speak on benchmarking, and Len Tesoriero (NSW DPI), who will talk on disease management. Graeme Smith from Protected Cropping Australia (PCA) will report on outcomes of the National Greenhouse Recycling project and Pesticides Residues in Hydroponics project. He will also highlight how to get the best out of high volume spraying, and give an overview of a 5-day Greenhouse Technical Management course.
Light refreshments will be provided from 12 noon to 12:30 pm.
This workshop is funded by Horticulture Australia Limited (HAL) using the vegetable levy and matched funds from the Australian Government.
