Sustainable growing system for urban gardeners

Elevated Gardens is launching an innovative new product range for growing vegetables, herbs and flowers in virtually any outdoor location. It is a sustainable, self-contained growing system that is attractive, easy to use and environmentally friendly.

The official launch will be at the Brisbane 2011 Spring Home Show, to be held from 31 August to 4 September.

“Our objective is to make fresh produce available to everyone by promoting sustainability and self-sufficiency in urban areas,” said Andrew Olley, Director of Elevated Gardens.

The product ticks all the boxes for sustainability. The automated, self-watering system uses a solar panel, which translates to free running costs in terms of energy usage. The nutrient-rich water is recycled, making the system highly water efficient. In addition, the cocopeat growing medium is renewable and 100% organic and the growing tanks are 100% recyclable.

“The technology underpinning Elevated Gardens is based on 20 years of expertise in the horticultural and commercial greenhouse/hydroponic industries,” said Mr Olley.

“We are bringing this knowledge to urban landscapes so that city dwellers can enjoy produce from the source, while having a rewarding lifestyle experience.”

Elevated Gardens come in a range of modern styles, sizes and colours. They are ideal for rooftop gardens of apartment and office buildings, courtyards, balconies and backyards. Elevated Gardens also offers a program for schools to teach children about growing plants, sustainability and healthy eating.

Elevated Gardens will be at the Brisbane 2011 Spring Home Show at stand PRIM1 in the outdoor area.

Elevated Gardens is a trading name of Myriad International Pty Ltd. It was established to bring focus to the innovative product range of sustainable, self-contained growing systems offered by the company. The company is 100% Australian owned.
