FloraHolland will be held from Wednesday 31 October through Friday 2 November, hosted by FloraHolland flower auction at Aalsmeer. For three days, this international trade fair will be the place where traders and producers of ornamental plants and flowers can meet each other and do business. More than 650 growers from inside and outside the Netherlands will be presenting their wares and displaying new products or concepts to exporters, wholesalers, and their customers.
The heart of the trade fair will be ‘The Village; Consumer Intelligence & Inspiration Centre’. Together with Flower Council Holland, FloraHolland will show how growers’ products can be translated to meet the needs of different consumer groups, as well as how products can be made available via various market segments. Knowledge of consumers and the market has been given form in concrete sales concepts. A meeting point has been set up in the middle of ‘The Village’ and several exporters will be demonstrating at the Trade Fair how they position products from growers who are at the fair. This dovetails nicely with the different consumer groups that are represented in ‘The Village’.
There will be a number of ‘Hotspots’ located throughout the trade fair where a selection of new products will be explicitly brought to visitors’ attention. A wide range of products with added value will be on display on the stands of suppliers to the floriculture industry.
This trade fair will be open on Wednesday from 9:00am to 7:00pm; Thursday from 9:00am to 5:00pm; and Friday from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Entry is free for trade professionals.
The FloraHolland Trade Fair falls during International Horti Week — a week jointly organised by FloraHolland, the Horti Fair and the IFTF to reinforce the standing of the horticulture industry nationally and internationally. Trade fair visitors from Holland and abroad will be able to visit three fairs in the same week, giving them a comprehensive overview of the state of international horticulture and developments in production, sales, technology and transport, and services.
